Equanimity. Accepting the worst while remaining composed, even if it holds vague buoyancy. If that were to be an option alongside the opportunity of having your dreams served to you on a golden platter, then any sane person would certainly choose the latter. Which means being able to live in ebullience with vague darkness, but rarely expressing gratitude because there was no faith in the vague light overtaking the worst. Hence lacking the attributes of a calm and simple personality because you didn't fight your own battle and attained victory. Similar is the long journey of a ship over an ocean that is completely sangfroid through being displayed as serene whilst housing unknown creatures and substances. Its ability to remain its ataraxy is the result of going head to head with the ocean on a stormy weather and surviving so that it could sail with serenity.
Get this canvas if you feel connected to serenity. Otherwise, it won't mean anything to you.
